My goal as a stylist is to empower my clients with the knowledge and self-confidence to look their absolute best and help them create amazing interior spaces that look and feel fabulous and are functional in design.
My Story
I’ve always had a passion for fashion since I was young. I trained and graduated with a Diploma in Fashion, Textiles and Design in 1996. This was incredibly influential and taught me so much about the fashion industry and how design and construction create a look that not only tells a story, but also flatters the body form.
With a desire to truly understand the retail profession, I travelled overseas and managed retail stores, returning home with first-hand knowledge of what customers want and how to get it.
To further expand my knowledge I worked in the buying department for the largest online shopping company in the southern hemisphere, Ezibuy. I quickly made my mark and was promoted to Assistant Buyer – a demanding role that was life changing.
Two years later, I bought an icon fashion store in Palmerston North, Trumps. Over the next seven years I re-invented the store – widening the selection for all ages, and buying over 50 local and international labels. This broadened my knowledge of New Zealand and international designers, and taught me a great deal more about fit, quality and style.
My love for fashion and my customers has never dwindled which lead me into the space of personal styling. This was a natural progression for me which has enabled me to enjoy the flexibility a working in fashion and helping people like you look and feel amazing, all whilst raising my family.
In recent years I completed training in colour analysis.
As culture progresses and people are taking more pride in their personal spaces, this has given me an opportunity to include Interior Design as an offering in my business.
I have always enjoyed designing interior spaces and seeing the transformation that can take place. I completed a Diploma in Interior Design with The Interior Design Institute to formalise my passion within this industry.
I am enjoying working with clients all over the lower North Island finding personal styling solutions and transforming interior spaces.
